It’s time for me to quit making excuses about getting busy in the kitchen. I miss being creative with my food, eating loads of veggies, and sharing recipes with you all. I’m going to work on getting back into the groove.
With the help of Pinterest and some of my previous blog posts, I have been inspired. I am adding the following food items to my foodie to-do list. My hope is that I can try to make something fun at least once a week, until I get back into the groove, then maybe more often than that.
Here’s what inspired me!
Portobello pizzas with tons of marinara sauce, veggies, and mozzarella cheese.
My Veggie Nut Pizza again with lots of sauce, cheese, and veggies.
My Thai Chicken Salad with Amazing Peanut Sauce
Broccoli and Cheese Soup from Peas and Crayons
Creamy cauliflower sauce over gluten-free brown rice or quinoa pasta and some broccoli and other veggies perhaps.
Buffalo chicken quesadillas
How’s that for a start? This lady needs to get back on track.
I need your advice: how do you get out of a cooking slump?
What’s on your foodie/recipe to-do list?
I want to try the pizzas and the broccoli soup!
I use Pinterest for inspiration!

Everything looks so amazing! All these dishes would definitely inspire me out of a food slump for sure. Whenever that happens to me, I start browsing Pinterest for new recipes. Finding new recipes to try always make me super excited to get in the kitchen!

Yes Pinterest definitely helps but I need to work on the actual implementation of the recipes versus just the drooling over them! 😉
I’m totally in a cooking slump right now and can feel ya :/ I always find it hard to want to cook when Kyle’s traveling. With this whole budgeting thing though, I’ve realized how expensive buying food pre-prepared (is that a word? ha!) is so I’m trying to cut back. Thanks for the recipe inspiration!

I am so with you on this one. If Dana isn’t going to be around for dinner, I lose my gusto for cooking and usually make myself something completely random (or go to mom and dad’s). Let’s get back on the ball though, huh?!
I use pinterest as inspiration a lot! I’ve been trying to do the same thing – make at least one new or fun recipe a week. It’s been working! I was in a food rut for a while, just look for things you’ve never made or tried before!
